NSEN and our Yangon-based partner, Exam Preparation Outreach Program (EPOP), jointly host an official version of the TOEFL (Institutional Testing Paper) administrated by the Educational Testing Service (ETS) in Myitkyina, Kachin State. NSEN encourages and assists students who obtain a TOEFL score above 500 to apply for scholarships to attend international universities abroad.
Thus far, 12 NSEN alumni have obtained scholarships to study internationally at universities in Thailand, the Philippines, Hong Kong, Singapore and India. Some of these have returned to Myanmar where they work for local and international NGOs including NSEN.
