The Civic Education and Youth Empowerment Training (CEYET) is a 45 day program, where the students study English language as well as social science and the importance of being active participants in Myanmar’s developing civil society.
The program exemplifies our vision of capacity-building and political awareness for young participants from both urban and rural backgrounds. The primary objectives of the training is to provide civic education as political awareness and English language skills for local and international communication. The curriculum taught under these objectives equip participants with the knowledge and skills necessary to play an active and effective role in civil society organizations and ultimately the development of Myanmar. We conduct a number of CEYET programs in cities throughout northern Myanmar’s Shan and Kachin states.
