(Certificate in English and Social Studies – 10-month progam)
This ten-month community capacity-building program began in 201o at our training center in Myitkyina, Kachin State. Fifty percent of the school curriculum is designed to provide students with a strong, practical knowledge of the basic concepts, theories and practices in social science. The other half of the curriculum is devoted to building the English language skills necessary to communicate in a diverse array of contexts and pursue further academic study in overseas settings.
We also provide instructions and “hands-on” opportunities designed to equip students with competitive skills necessary to excel and lead in a professional setting (information and technology, management, critical thinking, communication etc).
Special talks by community leaders, activists, and even government workers add another enriching piece to our curriculum.
